Spray - the effective and convenient form of CBD-oil

04/10/2023

Everyday there are some new CBD products to appear: cannabidiol is now added into food, drinks, topicals and cosmetics.  However, oil remains the leader among most popular forms of CBD [1].  Most manufacturers produce CBD oil with a dropper — this almost "classic" form of CBD is familiar to many, but it has its drawbacks.

What are the advantages of CBD spray over oil drops?

Ease of use.

Using a pipette to transport oil may not be the most convenient process [2].  First, you squeeze the rubber part of the pipette, making sure that at the same time its glass tip is immersed in the oil, then, continuing to squeeze, you need to transfer the pipette to a container with a drink, food or directly under the tongue.  If at this point you loosen the pressure on the dropper a bit, the drops of oil will end up on the table, the floor, your clothes, etc.  Instead, spray-oil is almost impossible to spill.  Moreover, unlike with a dropper, there is no need to unscrew the cap to use the spray, which prevents unnecessary contact of the oil with air.

Delivery speed.

For better absorption of CBD, it is recommended to hold the oil under the tongue, but if oil is with the dropper, it is not very convenient to do [3].  First of all, putting oil under your tongue with a dropper is, of course, not very difficult, but you can't say this process is convenient either — it's definitely not something you want to do anytime on the go.  On the other hand, there are no such problems with spray oil: no matter where you are, making a couple of puffs is quick and super convenient [4]. In addition to ease of use, the spray has another advantage — it speeds up the absorption of CBD in the oral cavity [5].

A glass pipette requires careful use.

When it comes to use with food, glass has many advantages, but also a significant disadvantage: glass is fragile.  A wrong move and oil is spilled, pieces of pipette are on the floor.  Now you need to clean up the mess and find a new dropper or bottle for your CBD-oil.

A spray is a more hygienic method than a pipette.

Imagine: you are holding the pipette over your open mouth, trying to carefully get its tip under your tongue, you do not notice the moment the pipette touches saliva.  After emptying the dropper, you return it to the bottle of oil, which now contains  not only CBD, but a little bit of microbes from the oral cavity.  Repeat this several times and contamination of CBD oil is guaranteed.

Instead, it is easy to administer spray into the mouth even from a distance of a few centimeters, also, it is fast, as you do not even need to unscrew the jar.

Spray oil tastes better.

For some people, placing oils under their tongue can be an unfamiliar experience.  The spray forms a fine dispersion from the oil, which makes oil consistency much lighter and pleasant to the taste.
